Crane had to be used after vehicle ended up nearly on Root River after crash in Oak Creek

OAK CREEK -- A crane was needed to pull out a vehicle that was nearly on the Root River after a crash in Oak Creek on Thursday, February 11th.

It happened around 4:30 p.m.

Officials with the Oak Creek Fire Department tell FOX6 News a vehicle was exiting the freeway at Ryan Road when the driver lost control on the shoulder, went off the road, and flipped off the off-ramp.

The adult driver suffered non life-threatening injuries and was taken to Froedtert Hospital for treatment.

A crane was used to get the vehicle out.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
