Ten-year-old boy rescued from motel swimming pool & resuscitated

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- A ten-year-old boy was rescued from a swimming pool at a motel in the Town of Wilson on Sunday evening, February 14th.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office says deputies were dispatched to the Sleep Inn on Motel Rd. shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday for a child that had been pulled from the swimming pool and was not breathing.  Bystanders pulled the boy from the bottom of the pool and initiated CPR.

Officials say the bystanders were successful in resuscitating the child.

The child was transported to a St. Nicholas Hospital. Assistance was also provided by Kohler Police Dept., Town of Wilson First Responders and Orange Cross Ambulance.

Officials say the condition of the child is unknown at this time.
