Crash involving four vehicles near Appleton & Capitol: Police say driver will be cited

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a crash involving four vehicles that happened near Capitol Drive and Appleton Avenue on Wednesday, February 17th.

It happened shortly before 5:00 p.m.

Police said a green Chevy Malibu traveling west on Appleton lost control, crossed the median and struck a red Chevy Malibu headed east on Appleton head-on.

Two other vehicles were struck during the collision.

Five occupants of these vehicles were taken to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries -- four adults and a child.

Speed is expected to be a factor in this case.

Police say the driver of the green Malibu will be cited for their role in this crash.
