MILWAUKEE — The Miller Park tax will sunset sometime between 2018 and 2020.

Stadium District Executive Chairman Mike Duckett said in an interview with the Milwaukee Business Journal that it will probably end in 2019.

However, he was quick to point out that he cannot confirm the 2019 prediction because there are too many variables involved.

The tax has been collected since 1996 to pay for the $290 million construction debt plus interest for the stadium.

Yea right, Chris Larson (if elected County Exec) will plan on keeping this tax to finance some more liberal fraud, waste and abuse!

Ahh, over 20 years of forced taxation via the hands of a few electorates. Most people don’t even realize that is a tax on their goods bought. Just ask anyone on the street what the extra .05 percent on their purchase is for…they probably would not know given the state of today’s learning. I say greed is not good for lack of a better term. Greed does not cut through nor define. Greed is bad.
