Governor Walker calls Donald Trump's presidential candidacy "remarkable"

MADISON— Former Republican presidential candidate Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker says the ascent of Donald Trump is "one of the most remarkable things we've seen in modern political campaign history."

Walker dropped out of the race in September and has not endorsed anyone. But he said Wednesday, February 24th he would stand by the pledge he signed when still a candidate to support whoever is the nominee.

Walker isn't making any predictions about whether that will be Trump, but he says "conventional wisdom is someone who's won that many states is well on their way toward the nomination."

Trump has won in three of the first four voting states.

But Walker also hedges his bet, saying, "we've seen this year conventional wisdom has proven to be wrong on just about every issue."
