Vehicle drops debris on I-94 near County Highway E, leading to flat tires

KENOSHA COUNTY -- The left lane of I-94 eastbound at County Highway E in Kenosha was closed on Thursday evening, January 25th after a vehicle dropped some sort of metallic debris on the eastbound lanes around 7:45 p.m.

Kenosha County Sheriff's officials say "several" vehicles were damaged.

Traffic was backed up on I-94 after some vehicles suffered punctured tires.

No crashes have been reported.

Tow trucks were dispatched to the scene to assist with getting the vehicles with flat tires off the roadway.

Two lanes were shut down on I-94 eastbound at one point -- but one lane was reopened. One lane remained closed as of about 9:00 p.m. due to the tow trucks still on scene. That lane reopened shortly before 9:30 p.m.
