Deal reached: Dionte Nowels pleads guilty to lesser charges in robbery, carjacking

MILWAUKEE -- A man charged in a crime spreed that turned deadly reached a plea deal on Friday, February 26th.

Dionte Nowels is one of two people charged in a robbery and carjacking from April 2015.

When officers responded to the carjacking, Nowels and his accomplice took off, causing an accident that killed another man.

On Friday, Nowels pleaded guilty to the amended charges of driving a vehicle without owner's consent, second-degree reckless homicide and hit-and-run causing death.

Nowels will be sentenced in March.
