Wisconsin State Patrol: Chicago man arrested in Kenosha for OWI with child in his vehicle

CHICAGO -- Officials with the Wisconsin State Patrol say a 45-year-old Chicago man was arrested for OWI with a child in the vehicle early on Sunday, February 28th.

The man was stopped by a trooper around 1:15 a.m. Sunday on I-94 southbound, south of County Highway E for lane deviation.

After making contact with the driver, the trooper detected an odor of alcohol emitting from his breath. Field sobriety tests were conducted and the driver was arrested for OWI with a child under the age of 16 in his vehicle.

The driver was taken to the hospital for a legal blood draw and turned over to his family.

Criminal charges haven't yet been filed in this case.
