Rain caused chemicals to run into a drainage ditch near 128th Air Refueling Wing

CUDAHY -- Rain is being blamed for causing chemicals to run into a drainage ditch near the 128th Air Refueling Wing on Wednesday, March 9th.

Firefighters say someone noticed a slight 'sheen' or oil-like substance flowing towards General Mitchell International Airport.

It was contained with booms.

Crews say the stuff in the creek was most likely runoff from nearby parking lots.
