Newsboys, Happy Days: Live, Phillip Phillips & Matt Nathanson to take the stage at 2016 State Fair

WEST ALLIS -- Wisconsin State Fair officials are excited to announce three more shows slated for the Main Stage presented by Potawatomi Hotel & Casino lineup at this year’s Fair.

Nine of the 11 shows for the 2016 State Fair have now been announced, representing a variety of genres and celebrating music from the ‘60s through today. The Wisconsin State Fair will run Thursday, Aug. 4 through Sunday, Aug. 14 at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis.

 Tickets for all three shows will go ON SALE Friday, March 18 at 9 a.m. at WiStateFair.com and the State Fair Ticket Office. All tickets, both track and grandstand, will be reserved for all three shows. Online tickets will have print-at-home and mail-order options, and service fees will apply. The State Fair Ticket Office is located at 7722 W. Greenfield Ave. in West Allis and is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

All Main Stage tickets INCLUDE FAIR ADMISSION when purchased prior to entering the Fair Park.

 Four-time Grammy-nominated Christian rock band Newsboys will hit the Main Stage on Monday, Aug. 8. Since the successful release of the film “God’s Not Dead” in 2014, which featured their music, the group has had numerous hits, including “Million Pieces (Kissin’ Your Cares Goodbye)” and “It Is You.” Having just released their most recent album, Love Riot, fans can expect to hear new songs like the chart-climbing “Guilty.” Fresh off a Grammy victory for her hit “Holy Spirit,” Christian singer-songwriter Francesca Battistelli will open the 7:30 p.m. show. Tickets are $39 and $29.

The Fonz is coming to the Fair! Join him, along with Potsie and Ralph when they return to Milwaukee to perform Happy Days: Live on Wednesday, Aug. 10 at 7:30 p.m. Featuring Anson Williams, Donny Most and special guest Henry Winkler, the students of Jefferson High will reunite at the Fair following the hit show’s 40th anniversary. Winkler, currently starring in USA Network’s Royal Pains, has found success in several films, including roles in The Waterboy, Click and Holes. Williams and Most have both continued work in the entertainment industry producing, directing and acting. Take a trip down memory lane with  three stars from the iconic sitcom with music, rare photos, personal favorite clips from "Happy Days," never before seen home videos, talks about their coming of age experiences and a Q & A session. Tickets are $35 and $25.

Season 11 American Idol champion Phillip Phillips will co-headline the Main Stage with Matt Nathanson, on Saturday, Aug. 13. Phillips rose to stardom with his hit “Home,” which became Idol’s best-selling coronation song of all time. His 2012 debut album, The World from the Side of the Moon, debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 Chart and included the hit “Gone, Gone, Gone.” Having previously toured with stars like Kelly Clarkson and Train, Nathanson, best-known for his platinum-selling “Come On Get Higher,” will also perform at this 7:30 p.m. show. Tickets for the show are $39 and $29.

The 2016 Wisconsin State Fair, presented by U.S. Cellular, will take place Thursday, Aug. 4 – Sunday, Aug. 14.
