Plenty of power outages amid High Wind Warning: More than 40,000 customers impacted

MILWAUKEE -- Amid a High Wind Warning, in effect from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16th, with wind gusts at 50 to 60 miles-per-hour, We Energies crews were busy dealing with power outages.

Since Wednesday morning, crews restored power to more than 40,000 customers.

Outages were scattered throughout southeastern Wisconsin, though the majority of those without power were in Milwaukee County.

We Energies officials said high wind gusts were making things difficult for crews out making repairs.

Officials were also reminding folks to stay 25 feet back from downed power lines.
