Race for mayor of Milwaukee: Tom Barrett, Bob Donovan push for votes ahead of Election Day

MILWAUKEE -- There is a number of important local elections happening Tuesday, April 5th. Both Milwaukee mayoral candidates were out campaigning on Saturday, April 2nd.

Incumbent Tom Barrett stopped in at Bay View's Colectivo, talking with people about his love for the City of Milwaukee -- saying it was an "honor" to do his job.

Meanwhile, his opponent Bob Donovan was talking with voters at Mc Kiernan's Tavern in Milwaukee. He discussed shaking up the status quo.

"I've served this community very, very long and in a very good way and I absolutely love being the mayor of the City of Milwaukee," said Barrett.

"If we can't get a good turnout, I feel very good for my chances -- so that's what's mostly critical," said Donovan.

Other big races Tuesday include Milwaukee county executive and the state supreme court.
