Two people shot, wounded after gunfire breaks out in downtown Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Two people were shot and wounded after gunfire broke out in downtown Milwaukee early Saturday morning, April 2nd.

Police say they responded to the area near Mason and Milwaukee Streets around 2:15 a.m. Shots were fired between two groups of men during an argument in the street.

One of the shooters was taken into custody at the scene and his firearm was recovered.

Two other men, both 36 years old, suffered non-life threatening injuries and are being treated at a hospital.

Officials say it is not yet known if one of the victims is the other shooter.
