Man wanted in shooting death of young mother turns himself in to police: "He's not a bad person"
MILWAUKEE -- The 19-year-old suspect wanted for the March 30th homicide of an 18-year-old Milwaukee woman has turned himself in to police.

The suspect, Frank Lopez Jr., was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Audrea Williams.
Lopez Jr. turned himself in on April 1st -- but family members tell FOX6 News he didn't turn himself in because he shot Williams.
"You have to prove your innocence," the aunt of Frank Lopez Jr. said.

Lopez Jr.'s aunt on Monday, April 4th defended her nephew's character.
"He is not a bad person. No one knows what happened but him," Lopez Jr.'s aunt said.
Williams was shot near 81st and Villard in Milwaukee around 1:00 p.m. on March 30th. Family members said Williams was in a fight with her boyfriend when a gun went off and Williams was shot in the head.
"They got to tusslin` over the gun, the gun went off, and she got hit in the head," Kimberly Evans-Green, who identified herself as Lopez Jr.'s mother said shortly after the shooting.

"He ran out of the room running and screaming and said she shot herself," Lopez Jr.'s aunt said.
Lopez Jr.'s aunt told FOX6 News she believes the shooting was an accident. She said she was in the home when it happened.

"I didn't hear any arguing. I didn't hear any fighting," Lopez Jr.'s aunt said.
And when it came to the relationship between her nephew and his girlfriend Audrea?
"They seemed like a lovable couple," Lopez Jr.'s aunt said.

According to police, a witness took the couple's two-month-old baby from the scene briefly, but the baby was returned and was then with Child Protective Services.
It was after pleas from his family members and Williams' family members, and days on the run, that Lopez Jr. turned himself in to police.

"Frank is not a bad guy. He is lovable, nice, do anything for anybody. He is not a murderer. He`s not," Lopez Jr. said.
Milwaukee police will present the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for charges this week.
