Suspect in custody after disturbance at West Allis rooming house

WEST ALLIS -- West Allis police arrested a suspect after a disturbance at a rooming house near 88th and Greenfield Ave. on Tuesday morning, April 5th.

A resident told FOX6 News that he heard police yelling at the suspect -- and that the man allegedly threatened to shoot up the building.

West Allis police apparently advised area businesses and a school to go into lockdown as a precaution.

A poll worker at Wilson Elementary School (just a couple of blocks away) told FOX6 News that this incident did not disrupt anyone's effort to vote.

There were no reports of injuries.
