Bringing home a new pet for your family? Heed this advice from Wisconsin Humane Society

MILWAUKEE -- Are you planning on bringing home a new pet for your family? Joe Sinicki, an adoption counselor with the Wisconsin Humane Society, joined the Studio A team for some advice.

About Wisconsin Humane Society (from website)

Second chances happen every day at the Wisconsin Humane Society.  Through expert care and a whole lot of love and commitment, we find homes for thousands of animals each year. There are no time or space limits for animals in our adoption program.

We do same day adoptions at the Wisconsin Humane Society and adoptions are first-come, first-served as long as it's a good match! Since the individual needs of each animal and adopter vary, an Adoption Counselor will work with you one-on-one to help you find the right match for your home. The adoption process generally takes at least an hour and wait times can vary from 5 minutes to 2 hours during peak times. We recommend that you allow ample time to learn about your new companion and complete the process.
