GERMANTOWN — Germantown police  need your help in their search for 53-year-old Mary Jo Maney.

Officials say Maney has not had any contact with her family since April 4th. On that date, officials say she was dressed in business attire and dropping her dog off at her sister’s house in Glendale. She was reportedly going to work. However, Maney’s employer said the last day they had contact with her was on March 29th — when she called in sick to work.

The family reported to police that Maney is an alcoholic and likely has undiagnosed mental health issues.

Maney is described as being 5’6″ tall, 125 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. She drives a gold, 2005 Subaru Outback/Legacy Wagon, with license plate 355-CJS.

According to US Cellular, Maney’s cell phone has not had a completed call since April 4th. However, US Cellular did ping the phone to the area northeast of 9053 Brown Deer Rd. Officials say she has family in, and is familiar with, the Milwaukee and North Shore area.

Call Germantown police if you have any information that could help them in their search.

Why do these families insist on ignoring people in them that have mental diseases and drug problems but then are all up in arms when the said member goes missing!? I hope and pray she is found safe but have a feeling that this woman’s family waited WAY TOO LONG TO SEEK HELP FOR HER!!! They should be ashamed of neglecting the needs of this poor woman!

Because a doctor will not do anything without the persons actual consent. We tried to get help for a family member and doctors/police won’t do anything until the person seeks help or is a danger to someone or themselves. Stuck between a rock and a hard place.
