Police: One of two victims shot near McDonald's at Good Hope & Teutonia has died

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police said on Monday, April 25th one of two victims who was shot Sunday evening, April 24th near the McDonald's restaurant on Good Hope Road near Teutonia has died.

Police say 26-year-old David Stange died at the hospital on Monday morning.

The second gunshot victim remained hospitalized as of late Monday afternoon.

Police say further investigation has revealed the victims were involved in an illegal drug transaction just prior to the shooting.

After this shooting, which happened around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, police said the two victims had suffered "very serious" injuries.

Police said the shots were fired into the victim's vehicle by suspect(s) in another vehicle.

The victims' vehicle ended up in a McDonald's parking lot (near Teutonia and Good Hope) -- where there was a heavy police presence Sunday evening.

The search is ongoing for the suspect(s).
