Five healthcare providers partner with MSOE to help nursing students find jobs

MILWAUKEE -- There will be a huge demand for healthcare professionals over the next few years, and with that in mind, executives with the Milwaukee area's five biggest healthcare providers announced a new partnership with the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE)'s nursing complex.

The workforce development project will work with nursing students to help them develop and find jobs.

"The reason we need something like this is precisely because there is a glut of demand and there's not enough supply. The difficult in hiring, especially when you get into any kind of specialty is profound," Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele said.

According to state officials, 450,000 workers will be needed by 2022 to meet demand in Wisconsin.
