Two men shot following funeral service at Greater Mt. Sinai Church in Milwaukee



MILWAUKEE -- Two men were shot during an altercation at the Greater Mt. Sinai Church located near N. 60th and Custer Avenue on Saturday, April 30th.

It happened around 1:30 p.m.

Police say as attendees were leaving the church, an altercation occurred during which a 29-year-old Milwaukee man was shot.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

A second victim, a 28-year-old man, transported himself to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

A FOX6 News employee and deacon of the church, was inside at the time of the incident. He said it was packed with people for a funeral service for Kirby Clark. Clark, 26, was shot while sitting in his vehicle near 10th and Burleigh on Wednesday, April 20th. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.



"When they started shooting, I hit the floor," said Perry Ward, a witness.

Police were conducting interviews with those at the church during the shooting.

The circumstances surrounding this shooting remain under investigation.
