1. Children most often lose their cool when they get their hair sprayed with water, put on a constricting cape, or see their reflection in the big salon mirror.

2. Distraction is key, too. Play a video on your iPad, or read a book aloud until the snipping is done.

3. Don`t be afraid to bring photos to show your stylist an inspiration for what you would like your child`s cut to look like. Stylists are visual people, and appreciate that level of communication.
