Carroll University President Douglas Hastad to retire in June 2017



WAUKESHA -- Douglas Hastad will retire his position as president of Carroll University at the end of June 2017, a news release indicated on Monday, May 9th.

In the release, Hastad is quoted as saying the following:

"I’m honored to have had the opportunity to lead such a talented team of faculty and staff at Carroll. We’ve accomplished many significant ‘firsts’ together over the years and Nancy and I are grateful for the experiences we’ve been able to share with our Carroll family."


The news release says "Hastad has overseen the school’s transition from Carroll College to Carroll University as well as more than $100 million in renovations to campus facilities - including the Center for Graduate Studies and Prairie Springs Environmental Education Center and Paul Fleckenstein Research Laboratory in Genesse Depot. Beyond that, Hastad led the largest comprehensive endowment campaign in the school’s history which will have raised $50 million at it’s completion with $24 million directed to the new science building that will open in fall 2016."
