Police arrest 35-year-old man who confessed to robbing gas station of $100

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police were able to quickly take a suspect into custody after a gas station was robbed near Fond du Lac Avenue and Sherman Boulevard.

It happened at the Amstar gas station around 5:40 p.m.

Police say a 35-year-old man has been taken into custody for this crime.

According to police, the gas station clerk was able to provide police the license plate number of the suspect vehicle. Officers then spotted the vehicle, and tracked the suspect to his home, where he was arrested.

Police say the suspect confessed to the robbery -- indicating he had displayed a handgun and robbed the gas station of $100.
