MILWAUKEE -- Today is National Clean Your Room Day -- so what better day to get your kids to tidy up their rooms?! Marc Colletti with Molly Maid joins Real Milwaukee with some cleaning hacks for parents.
- Make it a game: If you have a little basketball player, set up a laundry basket so that as they match socks, they can practice their free throws.
- Forget the top sheet: That way, all they have to do to make their beds is pull up the comforter.
- Race against time: Name a specific goal like gathering dirty clothes and set a time limit. If kids complete the task in time, they earn a treat like a fifteen-minute extension on bed time or family game night. Display the best times to beat on a board of champions.
- Creative closet organization: Use soda can tabs to hang multiple garments in one spot, or organize scarves and belts by looping them through shower curtain rings placed on a hanger.
