West Allis elementary school temporarily locked down due to police incident

WEST ALLIS -- A West Allis elementary school was temporarily locked down on Tuesday morning, May 10th due to a police incident near the school.

Horace Mann Elementary School was put on lockdown around 10:25 a.m. The lockdown ended just before 11 a.m.

West Allis police say a man making threats to harm himself is what prompted the lockdown.

Officials say classes were not interrupted.
