They tap, they spin and they groove with the music.

"It makes me feel kind of happy and nervous. It makes me excited," said Biotrell Brown and Kaori Burks, 4th grade dancers.

It's the 10th annual Danceworks Mad Hot Ballroom and Tap Competition.

"It's more fun and you get to dance around all these people," said Brown and Burks.

"We do hundreds of events every year, great events. Our Bucks and Marquette and concerts and family shows, but really there is nothing more special to us on an annual basis than this incredible event. It's all about the kids," said BMO Harris Bradley Center President, Steve Costello.

All about the kids and their hard work of two, one-hour classes each week for 15 weeks.

"They really blow us away every year with how much they can really produce in that amount of time," said Danceworks Executive Director, Deborah Farris.

The dance classes are brought to the kids during their regular school classes, integrating art and education.

Wanyah Frazier began in the program as a young kid. He's now a dance instructor rooting on his students at Saturday's competition.

"It is a competition so we want to reward the kids that have worked really hard, we want to reward the kids that are excellent at what they've been doing -- but the way this competition is designed, everyone leaves a winner, everyone made it here and that's the real goal," said Fraizer.

The dancing teaches the students a whole lot more than just how to two-step.

"You see it build self-esteem, self-confidence, the kids look happy, they're having fun, and they're trying something new," said Frazier.
