Brewers swept out of New York

NEW YORK - The NY Mets only outscored the Brewers by 4 runs over 3 games, but it was enough to get a series sweep. The Mets defeated the Brewers by a score of 3 to 1 on Sunday, May 22. Jonathan Lucroy singled in Scooter Gennett in the first inning. After that Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard (5-2) and their bullpen was able to shutdown the Brewers. Pitcher Chase Anderson (2-6) wasn't as sharp as his last outing when he took a no hitter to the 8th. But he was still effective, giving up only 3 runs in 5 innings. Ryan Braun was able to start and play just his second game this week. He had one hit in 4 at bats. Braun has been dealing with back stiffness.

The Brewers now continue the road trip in Atlanta. They start a 3-game series with the Braves Tuesday night. First pitch is 6:10.
