Firefighters called out to BMO Harris Bank in Mequon after mulch caught fire

MEQUON -- Officials with the Mequon Fire Department say no one was hurt when landscaping mulch caught fire outside the BMO Harris Bank at Mequon Road and Port Washington Road on Monday, May 23rd.

The call for this incident came in just after 3:00 p.m.

Employees reported seeing smoke inside the bank.

Firefighters discovered some mulch had caught fire outside the bank. Everyone inside the bank was evacuated.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

There was no damage to the bank. The windows were opened to help ventilate the smoke.
