Police: Two shot, wounded in two separate shooting incidents in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE — Police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that occurred Monday, May 23rd.

The first shooting happened around 9:45 p.m. near 58th and Ruby.

Police say a 21-year-old man was shot while on the street, and taken to the hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

About 15 minutes later, Milwaukee police responded to a shooting in an alley near 49th and Fiebrantz.

Police say the 47–year-old man was shot under circumstances that are under investigation and was transported to a local hospital.

The extent of his injuries are being evaluated at this time. Officers are searching for a known suspect who fled the scene.
