Common Council approves plan to work with Medical College to fight heroin/opiate epidemic

MILWAUKEE -- It's official. The Milwaukee Common Council will be working with the Medical College of Wisconsin to help put a stop to the heroin and opiate epidemic here in Milwaukee.

The partnership was proposed in April, and approved by the council on May 24th.

Alderman Michael Murphy has said the purpose of the partnership is to provide more research for strategies that can be immediately implemented to save lives.
