Four Milwaukee Public Schools will be part of the "National Turnaround Arts Program"

MILWAUKEE -- First Lady Michelle Obama on Wednesday, May 25th announced that four Milwaukee Public Schools will be a part of the "National Turnaround Arts Program."

The program integrates select schools with the arts to try to help close the achievement gap.

They are: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School, Lancaster School, William Sherman Multicultural Arts School and Roosevelt Creative Arts Middle School.

The "Turnaround Arts" effort focuses on integrating more art within classrooms, giving educators more resources and adding more art programs.
