Police: 31-year-old man shot, wounded by his own brother near 39th & Center

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police say a suspect was quickly arrested after a shooting near 39th and Center that happened on Wednesday afternoon, May 25th.

The shooting happened outside a home in the area shortly after 2:00 p.m.

Police say a 31-year-old Milwaukee man was shot at that location, and the victim's 23-year-old brother was located inside the home and taken into custody.

The 31-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

MPD will present the case against the suspect to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges.
