Police: Two people shot, wounded in separate incidents in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Two people were shot and wounded in separate incidents in Milwaukee late on Saturday and early Sunday.

The first incident happened around 9 p.m. in the neighborhood near 35th and Center. Police say a 21-year-old man was involved in a verbal argument with another subject. At one point, the suspect armed himself with a gun and shot the victim. The victim drove himself to a hospital -- and is expected to survive.

Around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, Milwaukee police were dispatched to the area near 36th and Courtland to investigate a shooting. Officials say the victim was walking in the neighborhood when he heard gunshots. The victim realized that he was shot and received a ride to a hospital from an unknown person. The victim is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot injury.

Milwaukee police are searching for suspects in both cases.
