We Energies crews work through the night, restore power to more than 40,000 customers

MILWAUKEE -- Scattered strong-to-severe thunderstorms on Sunday evening, June 5th in southeastern Wisconsin have led to power outages across the area. We Energies crews worked through the night to restore power to more than 40,000 customers in Fox Valley and southeast Wisconsin.

As of 8:00 a.m. Monday, June 6th, 3,119 customers are still without power in southeast Wisconsin. We Energies officials say their goal is to fix all outages by the end of the day.



We Energies officials tell FOX6 News as of about 9:00 p.m. Sunday, 22,000 customers were without power due to downed power lines.

10,000 of those without power were in Milwaukee County -- with the Franklin area being the hardest hit -- with 2,400 without power.

There were also many customers without power in the area of College Avenue and 3rd and 6th Streets.

We Energies officials said 4,700 were without power in Waukesha County, with 2,200 out in the Town of Summit alone.

2,700 were without power in Racine.

In Jefferson County, about 900 We Energies customers were without power.
