Short-term maintenance project on I-94 and Racine County K to begin June 14th

RACINE COUNTY -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is planning to perform maintenance on the I-94 and Racine County K (Northwestern Ave.) Interchange beginning June 14th.

The work involves milling, asphalt paving and base patching. To facilitate this work, the following closures will take place, according to a press release.

Tuesday, June 14


    Wednesday, June 15


      Thursday, June 16


        Detour: Traffic to-or-from County K will use the adjacent interchanges, depending on direction of travel.


          Monday, June 20


            Detour: County K traffic can go north on the frontage road to the County G (5 ½ Mile Road) Interchange to connect with I-94 northbound.

            Tuesday, June 21


              Detour: County K traffic can go south on the frontage road to the WIS 20 Interchange to connect with I-94 southbound.

              The schedule of work is weather permitting and subject to change.
