Summer safety kit: List of items you should have on hand this summer

MILWAUKEE -- Summer is time for getting out and exploring and having fun with the family. And scraped knees and other boo boos are bound to happen. Katie Horrigan of Children's Hospital and Kohl's Cares Grow Safe and Healthy Program joins Real Milwaukee with the details.

Before you head out the door for summer fun, make sure you  have a summer safety kit handy. You can either buy a pre-made first aid kit or make one yourself.

Some things  you should include:

  • Water bottles
  • Small scissors
  • Tweezers & a small magnifying glass
  • Baby and disinfecting wipes
  • Sunblock
  • Bug spray
  • Numbing spray
  • ointment
  • Benadryl
  • Ibuprofen
  • Dramamine
