"I did wrong. I feel guilty:" Hours after release on bond, trainer accused of sexual assault back at gym

BROOKFIELD -- A personal trainer is in trouble -- accused of sexually assaulting a client at a gym in Brookfield. Hours after he was released from custody on a signature bond, FOX6 News found him back at work on Wednesday, June 22nd -- at "G-Form Fitness."

Joseph Richmond

Standing 6'1" tall and weighing 240 pounds, Joseph Richmond looks like a personal trainer. His company biography stresses that the 52-year-old wants his clients to achieve their physical and mental goals.

One of his clients at G-Form Fitness in Brookfield claims Richmond is causing her physical and mental distress.

According to court documents, the 50-year-old female client signed a contract with Richmond for 10 physical therapy sessions. Richmond allegedly offered a discounted massage after the workout. The woman says she felt uncomfortable after Richmond allegedly brushed his hand against her breasts and buttocks.

After her second session with Richmond, the trainer allegedly texted the woman -- offering a "personal massage at his house." The woman declined, but prosecutors say Richmond texted her saying she is "cute," and that Richmond asked her out to dinner.

Before their third session, Richmond allegedly told the client he would be professional with her.

According to a criminal complaint, Richmond's behavior got much worse. Richmond allegedly got up onto the massage table, straddled the woman with his body and sexually assaulted her.

The next day, court documents show he texted her again, allegedly writing: "It was a huge mistake on my part. Should never have happened."

The woman responded, writing: "I was numb with being scared."

Richmond declined to comment when FOX6 News stopped by. His boss did not return telephone calls from FOX6.
