Two killed, two hurt in crash involving three vehicles on I-41 in Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC -- Officials with the Fond du Lac Fire Department say two people were pronounced dead at the scene of a crash that happened on Wednesday, June 22nd on I-41 near Johnson.

The crash happened around 11:45 a.m.

Upon arrival at the scene, fire officials found three vehicles involved, which included a semi-tractor trailer. Officials with the Wisconsin State Patrol say a car was sandwiched between the semi and another vehicle after the crash that apparently happened as the semi was slowing down.

Flight For Life was called to the scene and landed on I-41.



Two patients were taken by ground ambulance to a hospital.

Two patients were unable to be revived and pronounced dead at the scene.

I-41 NB was closed as Wisconsin State Patrol and Fond du Lac County Sheriff's officials worked the scene.

Fond du Lac Police assisted with traffic control -- which included rerouting NB traffic off at Military and back on I-41 north of the crash site.
