Two seriously injured following single-vehicle crash in Dodge County

DODGE COUNTY -- Two men sustained life-threatening injuries following a single-vehicle crash that occurred early Wednesday morning, June 22nd.

It happened around 3:40 a.m. on St. Helena Road north of Arrowhead Trail, in the Township of Hustisford.

A preliminary investigation has revealed a 2001 Lincoln was traveling south on St. Helena Road at the time of the crash. While the driver was negotiating a curve in the roadway, the vehicle left the road, struck an embankment and vaulted. The vehicle then struck a tree and overturned.

The driver, a 34-year-old man from Watertown, suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown from the scene by Flight for Life to Aurora Medical Center in Summit.

A passenger in the vehicle, a 33-year-old man from Juneau, also suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown from the scene by Flight for Life to Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
