Three hurt, one seriously in separate shootings in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating three separate shootings, one of them a double shooting, which happened on Thursday afternoon/evening, June 23rd.

Police say around 6:30 p.m., a double shooting happened near Teutonia and Lincoln Creek Parkway -- near Teutonia and Villard.

Police say 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy were injured in this incident.

According to police, the victims were passengers in a vehicle that was shot at by suspects in another vehicle that was following the victims' vehicle.

The victims' vehicle ended up near 31st and Cameron.

We're told the 17-year-old girl was shot in the right bicep and left calf. She was taken to Children's Hospital.

The 16-year-old boy suffered a graze wound to his left calf. He was treated and released at the scene.

Police believe the victims and at least two suspects knew each other.

Police say around 5:45 p.m., they were called out to the area near 21st and Hopkins -- where a 28-year-old man was shot while in a vehicle.

He was seriously hurt, and taken to the hospital.

Police say several vehicles were also struck by bullets.

The investigation is ongoing and MPD is seeking suspects and working to determine a motive.

No one was struck by gunfire in a shooting incident near 57th and Capitol that happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police say an Aurora Health Care building and two vehicles were struck by the gunfire.

Police found 10 rifle casings at the scene.

We're told one of the vehicles struck was parked, while the other was moving, and suffered a flat tire.

The investigation into a motive for this shooting incident is ongoing.
