Sheboygan County: 36-year-old man in custody following high-speed pursuit in the Town of Wilson

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- A 36-year-old man was taken into custody following a high-speed pursuit on Sauk Trail Road in the Town of Wilson.

The incident occurred Thursday, June 23rd around 6:30 p.m.

According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office, the 36-year-old man had a felony warrant out for his arrest by Plymouth police for unrelated charges.

When deputies attempted to make contact with the man in a Kwik Trip parking lot located on Sauk Trail Road, the man fled out of the parking lot in his vehicle.

Officials say the man continued southbound on Sauk Trail Road, reaching speeds of approximately 110 miles-per-hour, until he lost control and crashed into a ditch.

After a brief foot pursuit, authorities say the man was taken into custody.

The man was cited for knowingly fleeing an officer, obstructing and several other traffic offenses.

This incident remains under investigation.
