Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump in two new polls

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Hillary Clinton is leading Donald Trump in the race for the White House, according to two new polls of registered voters.

A Washington Post/ABC News survey shows Clinton ahead by 12 points -- 51% to 39%.

A Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll pegs Clinton's lead at five points -- 46% to 41%.

Trump recently fired his campaign manager, and he has had lackluster fundraising. He's also received criticism from his party over his labeling of an Indiana-born federal judge as "Mexican."

The 12-point Clinton advantage suggests Trump's troubles have badly damaged his campaign.

This weekend, Hillary Clinton's campaign released an ad slamming Trump for his reaction to Brexit -- with Britain voting to leave the European Union in a referendum.
