Disney announces Wreck It Ralph 2; set for release in March 2018

Disney on Thursday, June 30th announced there will be a Wreck It Ralph sequel!

According to Entertainment Weekly, Wreck It Ralph 2 will be released on March 9th, 2018.

EW says the sequel was unofficially announced earlier this year by John C. Reilly, who is the voice of Ralph.

Disney made the official announcement on Facebook Live and Twitter Thursday:

The first film was released back in 2012.

The film tells the story of the eponymous arcade game villain who rebels against his role and dreams of becoming a hero. He travels between games in the arcade, and ultimately must eliminate a dire threat that could affect the entire arcade, and one that Ralph himself inadvertently started.
