Milwaukee police investigate two unrelated, non-fatal shootings

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating two unrelated non-fatal shootings that happened Saturday, July 9th.

The first happened around 4:15 p.m. near 28th and Wells.

Police say an initial investigation has revealed a 37-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk when a suspect approached and shot him.

He was taken to a hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department.

Additional circumstances surrounding this shooting remain under investigation.

The second shooting happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. near 17th and Atkinson.

Police say the 27-year-old man who was shot is not being forthcoming regarding the circumstances surrounding this shooting.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Both shootings remain under investigation.
