Police: Three shot, injured in two separate shooting incidents in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that occurred between late Wednesday night, July 27th and early Thursday morning, July 28th. Three people were injured as a result of the shootings.

The first shooting happened around 11:00 p.m. near 24th Place and Lloyd Street.

Police say the victims, an 18 and 19-year-old man, went to intervene in an argument between two parties when they were shot by a known suspect. They both suffered what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police were called out the scene of a second shooting just before 2:00 a.m.  Officials say a man was shot in the torso near 46th and Meinecke.

He is expected to survive.

No arrests have been made -- and police continue to investigate both shootings.
