At Lambeau for Family Night -- the ultimate tailgating paradise! "My husband, he's a little over the top!"

GREEN BAY -- Tailgating and Green Bay Packers football go hand-in-hand, and that was the case Sunday, July 31st at Lambeau Field ahead of Packers Family Night.

The annual pre-season practice is an event that attracts mothers and daughters, fathers and sons looking for a little family fun.

FOX6 News found that Family Night brings out a special kind of tailgater -- the super fans who may not be able to come to the games during the regular season -- those who enjoy their Green Bay Packers games with warm temperatures and sunshine.

At Lambeau Sunday, many couldn't help but notice the tailgating paradise, built by the Timm family from Ripon -- and old, mobile military storage unit used during Desert Storm.

"We just try to do stuff in a crazy way," Dennis Timm said.

The Timms usually haul the unit to the Iola Car Show in North-Central Wisconsin -- but this year, the family decided to redecorate for the ultimate Packers experience!

"There's been a big crowd coming around. They want to hear how it all happened," Ali Rossberg said.

The unit features a couch, theater seats, a fridge, goal posts, a spiral staircase and even an Eddie Lacy outhouse!

It cost thousands of dollars to retrofit, and countless hours to put it all together. Fans at Family Night couldn't get enough! Many stopped by to take pictures.

"We painted it gold this year. My daughter had gotten tickets for Family Night. Jokingly I told them I would convert it to a Packers theme. I painted the steps. She and my daughter did the work decorating," Dennis Timm said.

"My husband is -- he`s a little over the top. It’s kind of great, to come in and have them make themselves at home.  That’s what it’s all about. We’re all family here," Kathy Timm said.

The Timms

The Timms said what they experienced Sunday at Lambeau is what Family Night is all about -- strangers from across the country -- Texas, Ohio, North Carolina gathering in Green Bay, Wisconsin to talk Packers.

The family made one mistake during their trek from Ripon. They accidentally left a roll of toilet paper in the Eddie Lacy outhouse -- and on the way up I-41, it made a big mess!
