Construction on "Titletown District" means 2,000 less parking spaces for Packers fans

GREEN BAY -- Green Bay Packers fans may have to find a new place to park at Lambeau Field.

Construction is underway on the "Titletown District," and that means the stadium is down more than 2,000 parking spots.

That means more people will likely be venturing into the neighborhoods surrounding Lambeau. In fact, some homeowners are already offering up their front lawns and backyards.

Mike Aubinger, Village of Ashwaubenon president says they don't need a permit to charge people for parking.

"It's more of a collegiate attitude and it's fun and people know one another and they enjoy one another and perfect strangers will invite somebody over for a brat or a hamburger or something like that," Aubinger said.

If you are looking for an alternative to parking at Lambeau, there are four Green Bay Metro bus routes offered on game days. There are also shuttles from the Brown County Fairgrounds.
