Red Cross assisting 10 people after house fire near 48th & Center in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- The American Red Cross is assisting 10 people after a house fire early Wednesday morning, August 3rd in Milwaukee.

The fire broke out around 1:45 a.m. at a home near 48th and Center. Investigators say the fire started on the first floor.

No one was home at the time of the fire.

The fire caused an estimated $82,000 in damage to the property and $30,000 to contents.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
