Food, rides & entertainment: Wisconsin State Fair kicks off Thursday, runs through August 14th



MILWAUKEE -- The 2016 Wisconsin State Fair begins Thursday, August 4th and runs through Sunday, August 14th at Wisconsin State Fair Park. The gates open at 8 a.m.

Most buildings at the Fair Park are open from 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. daily during the Fair. SpinCity Amusement Ride & Game Area opens at 10 am daily. On the final Sunday, August 14, barn closures begin at 3 pm, buildings close at 9 p.m. and the Fair Park closes at 10 p.m.

Admission Deals:


    Get into the Fair for just $2 when you donate at least two (2) non-perishable food items or make a cash donation outside any Fair admission entrance. You will receive a voucher redeemable at the ticket window for $2 admission on Thursday, August 4 only. Promotion will end promptly at 4 p.m.





      Visiting Wisconsin? Buy two (2) adult admission tickets (age 12 & over) for ONLY $12 when you present your out-of-state ID at any Fair ticket window. Also, visitors 21 and over, look for a special offer from Potawatomi Hotel & Casino at the ticket windows.




        Families save big during Kohl’s Family Value Day, Monday, August 8 at Wisconsin State Fair. ALL Fairgoers will be eligible for discounted Fair admission from 8 a.m. –6 p.m. thanks to a partnership with Kohl’s. Adults will receive $5 admission (a 60% savings) and youth 11 and under will receive FREE admission.
