"Two hours and 15 minutes:" Fans wait in long line in Canton to catch a glimpse of Favre's HOF bust

CANTON, Ohio -- What was supposed to be the Green Bay Packers debut this season turned into a bust Sunday, August 7th when the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game vs. the Indianapolis Colts was canceled due to paint used on the field.

In the wake of that news on Sunday, we didn't get a chance to talk about Brett Favre's bust -- now on display in Canton after he was officially inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday.

Some from Wisconsin waited hours to get a picture with it.

Sue Zeier

It was fitting that on Sunday, the day after Favre delivered a speech about parents and kids that Sheboygan's Sue Zeier would be spending quality time with her son, Todd -- a lot of quality time.

"We've waited, right now two hours and 15 minutes," Zeier said.

That's how long the line as to see Favre's bust. Because, after all, the Packers great was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in February, but he wasn't actually IN the hall until Sunday.

While Zeier and her son waited and bonded, FOX6's Ted Perry skipped ahead to see if it was worth it. (Spoiler alert: It was! The bust -- was not a bust!)

For the Green Bay Packers -- a team owned by the fans, it made sense to see so many people feel a particular pride in one of their own finally in place in Canton.

Some were giddy, and others a bit awestruck.

FOX6's Ted Perry saw a lot of Christmas Card photos taken in a muggy wing of the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend. You could almost hear the Facebook profile pictures changing by the second.

And as the line snaked its way to the busts of Stabler, Favre and all -- FOX6's Ted Perry saw Zeier and her son again, like thirsty travelers close to an oasis.

It was finally time, and another family memory was made, thanks to Favre.

The Ron Wolf and Brett Favre statues are next to each other. It is fitting, but just a happy coincidence.

Each year's class goes in alphabetically, and those two just happened to end up side-by-side.
